Response time is important. We have the fastest response time getting to your patient than any company in Houston. Emergency rooms are bogged down, doctors offices take days to get an appointment. We are there, with our equipment the same day. You have an immediate preliminary report in your hands and a typed radiology or cardiology report within 12 hours.
Quality
All of our sonographers are highly trained to provide standardized testing using state of the art diagnostic equipment. Medicare has strict guidelines regarding "screening" tests allowing a technician to make decisions whether certain tests should be performed or not. All of the exams performed by DMID are full diagnostic tests.
Medicare changes for the billing of vascular testing requires that the tecnician performing the exam have a RVT or RCS certification or the laboratory must be accredited by by one of two accreditation committees - ICAVL or ACR. This licensing is mandatory in the state of Texas.
Dunbar has been accredited by ICAVL for 7 years in compliance with Medicare guidelines.
Comfort
Ultrasound testing is safe and painless. Some of our patients are anxious. The test will be fully explained by the sonographer. Our facility has soft earth colors to ease anxiety. If the elderly patient is suffering from Alzheimers or confusion, we can request a gentle medication from the physician. If the patient is unable to be seen in our facility, we come to their bedside.
